RETIREMENT MESSAGE FEBRUARY 25/2022: Dear valued customers and friends, it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement. I have really enjoyed serving you during these past 6 years. Some I have come to know better than others. Many I have watched grow from small children to very cool little men. All have touched me and shaped me in some way. I will miss our visits together.
As some of you may know, my wife and I have for many years hoped to make our retirement in the east end of the province and we had bought some land near Perth , Ontario. Although she has a few years to go to retirement, I am 59 this year and plan to spend the next year building this retirement "Hobby Farm" home. When the right circumstances presented themselves (real estate market), we decided to strike. It all went down very quickly as we were surprised with the speed from listing to sold of both our home and the barbershop building. There was no intention of being secretive, only on announcing when things were a certainty.
So here we are, the last couple of days of cutting. I am speaking to different barbers to hopefully figure out where I can refer you for a similar experience to the one you have become accustomed. Please watch this page for notices. There are several items from the barbershop that will be sold (antiques, two barber chairs, display cases, antique cash register, etc. If you are interested please reach me via email at: highlanderosbarbershop@gmail.com . I will be in and out emptying the building for the next owners who take possession on April 4th, but will NOT be cutting hair or doing beadwork at that time. I will be busy but would like to chat while I work if you see my car and you want to stop by. I will also have to be out of my home by June 1st and so will be extremely busy for the next while which explains the rapid closure of the shop.
To the people of Orillia and surrounding area, THANK YOU. I've truly enjoyed the time I've spent with you and in Orillia.
