Our Story

Our barbershop was born out of a desire to recreate what was good in the good old days. There was a time when a man could drop in to a barbering establishment, greeted by a barber he grew up with, meet some of the boys, shoot the breeze in a comfortable place, all while waiting his turn for a great cut and maybe a luxurious shave. The atmosphere was relaxed and he felt like he was in a special place. An energizing place. A man place.

Times changed and old school barbering became a dying, lost art. Old time barbers died off, replaced by high turnover haircutting franchises and unisex salons. Life became all about rushing everywhere and we lost touch with the sanity of taking a moment for ourselves.

Our goal is to bring back the experience of a relaxing haircut and shave in the style of days gone by. Great quality cuts, neck shaves, hot towels, straight shaves. Quality products designed for men. Old school shaving supplies for home use. A relaxing experience. A man's place. An Old School Barbershop.

The original shop was located in the beautiful Oro-Medonte Highlands in the village of Craighurst, we chose our name to reflect the pride in being from such a beautiful area that breeds the Highlander traits every man possesses.

Now don't go thinking we don't keep up with progress. Women are welcome, however we specialize in short cuts with a masculine flair and face shaves. We aren't about long cuts. There are plenty of those around and we don't intend to duplicate them. If you want a short cut along our styles, we would be glad to serve you.
